Why test?
You don’t age all at once. Get your baseline today and catch the drift early. Low scores on simple tests like these are linked to shorter, less independent lives — and most can be improved.
What the research shows
- Endurance
Low fitness carried as much risk of early death as smoking or diabetes.¹
- Leg strength
The slowest at rising from a chair had nearly twice the death rate of the fastest.²
- Upper-body strength
Men in one study who could do 40+ push-ups had 96% fewer heart events.³
- Balance
Not being able to stand on one leg for 10 seconds was linked to an 84% higher risk of death.⁴
- Mobility
Each extra point on the floor sit-and-rise test was linked to 21% lower mortality.⁵
- Mental speed
Slower processing on a similar symbol-matching test was linked to about 3× the risk of dementia.⁶
The good news: each of these responds to training. Retest every 8–12 weeks to see what’s changing.
